Dani Larkin
Extend your St. Paddy's Day with singer-songwriter Dani Larkin
Tuesday March 19 | Rivoli
Beguiling, intense, driven folk songs expertly accompanied by guitar and banjo, singer-songwriter Dani Larkin moves through ruminations on love and experiences of wildness, loss and mystery, steered with an engagingly calm conviction.
Larkin’s debut album, Notes For A Maiden Warrior, was nominated for ‘Best Single’, ‘Best Album’ at the Northern Ireland Music Prize, and Best Emerging Artist at RTE Folk Awards. She has toured with Declan O’Rourke, Ye Vagabonds and Wallis Bird as well as Folk Alliance, SXSW, Reeperbahn, English Folk Expo, WOMEX, and a profound performance at the RTE Folk Awards. In addition to appearances with Rufus Wainright, Glen Hansard, Lisa O’Neill and Snow Patrol, it is clear that Larkin has firmly established herself as a must-see artist on the national and international stage.
Larkin followed up her critically acclaimed debut album with Walking With Natives, during which she toured North America, Australia, Europe and Asia. In addition to collaborations with the Ulster Orchestra and the RTE Concert Orchestra, Walking With Natives is a pathway to the beyond.
“Hotly tipped singer-songwriter” Mark Radcliff BBC Radio 2
